Konviva allows you to create certificate templates that can be used for certifying tracks and courses. The certificate can be printed by students who have passed the course or track, through a link available in the content tree itself, in the tracks, or in the student's history. There are two types of certificates that can be registered:

Course Certificate: These are certificates that are registered course by course, and the student obtains the certificate after passing the course.

Track Certificate: These certificates will be associated with tracks. The student receives the certificate after passing the courses in the track (the passing percentage is defined in each track).

The phrases printed on the Certificates are filled in according to the tokens configured in the template. Tokens are variables related to data such as #NAME#, #COURSE#, #COMPLETION_DATE#, etc. When inserted in the text editing area of the certificate, they transform these variables into the student's name, course name and completion date of the course.

The certificate templates need to be previously registered and are stored in the template repository. At the time of publishing the content of a course or creating a track, the author or system administrator selects the desired template.

To register a certificate:

  1. Select "Certificate" from the Repository menu.
  2. Click on "Register Course Certificate" or "Register Track Certificate".
  3. Use the "Select File" button to upload an image that will serve as the background of the certificate. For this image to have good resolution for printing on an A4 paper, the dimensions in pixels should be: 3508 (width) - 2482 (height), and it can be in png, jpg, or gif format.
  4. Use tokens to construct the certificate text in the Phrases area.
  5. Clicking on "View Certificate" will download the PDF of the Certificate.
  6. Each course or track can only have one certificate.
  7. The course certificate will always be the last item in the course content tree.
  8. Each certificate will be issued only upon meeting the certification criteria configured in the course and/or track.
  9. Each certificate will consist of at least one phrase.
  10. Only track certificates allow printing on the back, where all learning resources that make up the track can be listed.

Below is an example of a certificate:
